My private tools
My people
A private list of the people in your life and when you were last in touch, so no one quietly drifts away. Saved only in this browser.
Do this first
Add three people: one you're close to, one you'd like to know better, and one you've lost touch with. A first name is enough.
When you feel alone, it can seem like there is no one. Writing people down often shows more connections than you expected: a cousin, a former coworker, a neighbor, someone from a class years ago. These "weak ties" matter too. Research suggests that even brief, friendly contact with acquaintances lifts people's mood.

Ideas for using it
- After you talk to someone, update "last time in touch". The list shows who you haven't heard from in 30 days or more.
- Write one small next step for each person: "send the photo from the trip", "ask how the new job is going".
- Keep notes that help you be a good friend: birthdays, children's names, what they were worried about last time.
- Reconnecting with someone after a long gap? See reconnecting with family and old friends for what to say.
Your list is private. Nobody is told they are on it.
